This workshop aims to bring together researchers working on, or interested in, gender-related topics in an informal setting that welcomes scholars from across the social sciences. The idea is we all get together once a month and discuss our on-going research and exchange ideas. Our meetings take place from 4:00-5:30pm on the last working Tuesday of each month during the fall and spring semesters.
Each meeting will have with two presentation of 45 minutes each. Generally this means a 25 minute presentation per paper with time for discussant and audience comments or questions; however, because we welcome research at any stage, we leave the allocation of the 45 minutes up to the presenter (longer presentaitons for more polished papers, shorter ones for research designs, etc).
We encourage participants to read any materials distrubed before the meeting but do not require it. We just ask that you come willing to listen and participate. The schedule for the upcoming semester is listed below. If you wish you attend and serve as a discussant for any of the papers or join our mailing list, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This workshop is a continuation of the workshop organized last year with Johanne Rickne (Stockholm University) and Olle Folke (Uppsala University) and we are very thankful to the two of them for getting such a great program off the ground.
